Bob Molloy Trophy

Named in honour of Bob Molloy, who was General Secretary of the club 1957-1959 and 1991-2002. Bob was Distance Secretary in 1957.

Bob suffered a heart attack the day after he completed the compilation of the 81st Annual Report. He died on 27 May 2002.

In the 82nd Annual Report, Secretary Kay Culkin wrote:

"Whilst I was deeply honoured when asked if I would be willing to take on the position, I knew it would take a mighty effort to even attempt to fill the boots of Bob Molloy. This year has been a big learning curve for me and I am still discovering things that Bob did with apparent ease, yet which required tremendous amounts of skill and time."
